I am a 48 yr.young mother and grandmother! I have numerous health issues and have so many problems trying to get help for the bills not covered by medicare. I am in diere need for dental care but am getting no where. I need bifocals but do not have the money. I had to come up with over 0 last June to get new glasses and when I got them I had nothing but problems and they jsut kept putting me off until it was past the one month guarantee. Then I found out in Nov. that the size of my rims were way too small for the no-line bifocals. I found this out from an eye specialist who is also a professor of opthamology. He is probably one of the top in his field in the state of Colorado if not the top in the US! I also ahve back problems adn have a neuro pain stimulator to help control pain for the back issues and also for RSD. Reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), also called complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), is a chronic, painful, and progressive neurological condition that affects the skin, muscles, joints, and bones. The stimulator does not take all the pain away but it at least helps so they do not have to knock me out with medication to make the pain tolerable.
I live in Colorado about 15 miles north of Denver. I am somewhat new to the area and so do not really have many friends. It seems that when you are sick for a long time or have medical/health issues and/or do not have money it is hard to go out and meet people as well. It would be nice to be able to meet people in the area for friendship, or even online penpals.
I also have a 26 yr old son who has cerebral palsy. This too is not fun to deal with. He does pretty good for what the doctors said when he was first diagnosed, so I am very happy with that. He is developmentally delayed to like the level of a 3-4 yr old. But he is a great person to say the least!
I am looking forward to learning whatever I can from others on Aidpage!
